Hypnosis was the invention of Anton Mesmer, an 18th century

THE DEEPER YOU GO, examines the mystery
behind hypnosis, highlighting the hilarity of the onstage antics while
documenting Wayne Lee’s efforts to profoundly redesign his show for the
massive self-help market.
Wayne Lee hails from Edmonton, Canada where
he initially began a career as a high-school teacher. A
knack for magic developed into part-time work performing magic shows for
parties and corporations. After witnessing a hypnotist at a local club, he set
out to learn the secrets of hypnosis. Three months later he was performing his
first hypnosis show on amateur night at the neighborhood bar. Inundated with
offers from other local establishments he became an immediate success. Soon
his insatiable drive to perform compelled him to leave the teaching profession
and become a vaudevillian entertainer. He has never looked back. For the last
seven years he has built a lucrative business playing thousands of venues
across North America. All his energy had been poured into fine-tuning the show
and polishing his skills as a performer in order to reach the penultimate goal
of headlining on the Vegas strip alongside the likes of Siegfried and Roy. In a bid to find inspiration, brace himself for his pending
celebrity, and fine-tune his show business strategy, he attended a popular
self-help seminar. Following this life-changing experience, he had another
epiphany…
Wayne came to the conviction that his true calling was "to serve people"—as a motivational speaker and self-help hypnotist. For Wayne, his design was to pattern self-help industry giants and dogmatically spread his message. Granted, his stage presence and charisma is undeniable.
