Spending quality time with family is what many people value.
Yet, within today’s fast-paced society, people are caught up in the rat race
of working hard and making money. This often results in spending less time
with their loved ones. In order for families to grow together and be healthy
they must spend quality time with each other, which involves communicating
with love, honesty, and commitment.
Here are three simple ways to spend more quality time with
your loved ones:

On
Monday morning or Sunday evening, share your biggest success of the previous
week and the greatest challenge of the coming week. By sharing your
successes, you celebrate winning. When you share your challenges, this
allows your family members to support you in overcoming them.

Have an activity night. This is time that you set aside just for your
family. The activities can be playing a sport together, playing a game, or
even watching a movie. The stipulation is that all of you need to be present
– both physically and emotionally. Eliminate the distractions and focus on
the time you have together.

Take time for gratitude. This is where every one of your family members
shares what they are grateful for in the day or week. This can be scheduled
at dinner or any time that you all agree upon. By sharing what you are
grateful for, you magnify the great things in life. What you focus upon
expands, and this feeling of gratitude will lead to more gratefulness.
By spending quality time and communicating with openness,
honesty and commitment, you will continually nurture and grow your family
